Dr Rebecca Tay is the CEO of Beacon Precision Diagnostics (BPD), an award-winning pathology and clinical laboratory with a patient-centric approach, dedicated to MS ISO15189 and CAP compliance. She holds Dual PhDs from the University of Nottingham, UK (Pharmacy) and University Putra Malaysia (Molecular Medicine).

Dr Rebecca managed to secure significant investments to develop PRECISE Pharmacogenomic (PGx) testing, accredited by United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), National Quality Assurance (NQA), ISO 13485, and the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) of Singapore. Under her leadership and her talented team, Beacon Precision Diagnostics received recognition from The Malaysia Book of Records for the “First Clinical Recommended Genome-wide Pharmacogenomics,” aiming to prevent harm from adverse drug reactions and to increase drug efficacy. Beacon Precision Diagnostics also curated PRECISE Nutrigenomics (NGx) for personalized nutrition plans.
 
Dr Rebecca and Associate Professor Dr Doreen Tan (National University of Singapore (NUS)) are currently the principal investigators for the project on the “Implementation of Pharmacogenomic – A Precision Medicine Initiative,” a research collaboration agreement between BPD and NUS. Dr Rebecca is the Co-Chairperson Organizing Committee for “1st Malaysian Pharmacogenomics Summit 2024: Accelerate Precision Medicine via Pharmacogenomics” in collaboration with the President of Commonwealth Medical Association and President of Precision Medicine & Scientific Wellness.
